I'm trying to start a routine for my LO (aged 10wks) to get him to sleep through the night.. But his sleeping pattern is erratic.. He doesn't sleep much from 9am to 4pm (even after tremendous coaxing), and sleep better after (maybe tired).. Do I purposely wake him up esp during the after-4pm period? knowingly that he never sleep much before that?

Usually, a baby would gradually increase the amount of time they sleep at night as they grow. The article also highlighted some tips to help babies learn to sleep longer at night. Another article that may be useful is this, which discussed different sleep training methods. what is your reason for waking LO ?

I'm afraid he sleeps too much after 4pm-10pm, which causes him not to sleep in the wee hours..
