I'm looking for a music class for 1 year olds. Something with singing, some musical instruments for the kids to try and some play fun time. Any recommendations particularly in the orchard area?

Kindermusik offers music and movement from newborn to 18 months under Village programme and progress to Our Time after finish the first stage. My friend is the owner of Kindermusik with Love studio and is highly recommended.http://www.kindermusikwithlovestudios.com.sg/programmes My daugther joined their program when she was 18 months old and she likes it a lot. There are different types of instruments used during the class, to teach rhythms, beats, and etc. The teacher is very creative, e.g. using normal items to create sounds. My girl even create her own musical sound at home using 2 lego duplo blocks .

I've came across good reviews for Our Music Studio at Tanglin Mall (163 Tanglin Road, #03-11B; Tel: 6467 1789 / 9824 0198). Teachers are friendly and patient with the little ones. Children seemed to enjoy the classes. Similar to the other music programs for babies and toddlers, singing, dancing and exposure to different instruments could be expected. They have a few programs suitable for one-year old. Yes i agree with Diana too! Kindermusik is great. My elder son went there when he was 18 months old till 3years old. He loved going there to play. He is very well behaved and focused whenever he goes to kindermusik. It helps in developing his interest and love for music.
