37 weeks anxious about when will labour sign start

Im gg to be 38 weeks tmr and since 37 weeks i cant help but to be anxious every single day as to when my contraction or labour sign will start. This will be my firstborn and i want to avoid getting induced and hoping to get to deliver naturally. For first time mummies, that did not get induced, at which week did you start getting labour signs? And for contraction does it happen on the day you give birth or it actually can prolong for few days before you actually give birth. #FTM
