Private hospitals hidden/extra charges not reflected in the maternity package?

I’m a foreigner, so I’m rather unfamiliar with how maternity care works in SG. I’ve asked some of the private hospitals (TMC/MAH/MNH) for their maternity packages and I noticed that they don’t seem to differ much - maybe ~1K difference but there are things the cheaper ones don’t cover (e.g newborn vaccines & tests). So I’m having a hard time understanding why a lot of people mentioned that MNH is the most expensive of all, when looking at comparisons online, it seems like doctors’ fees are the biggest deciding factor. Are there any additional things not mentioned in the maternity package that I should know?

The fee charts you find online don’t tell you the full cost including consumables. You’ll have to ask by calling in or something. I attended the MNH online maternity tour and some people asked them about the full delivery cost (excluding gynae fees cus you pay your own gynae). iirc it’s estimated to be 11-15k for natural, 13-16k for csect, and 20-25k for emergency c sect. These exclude gynae fees. I think I’ll end up paying 7-9k in total for my gynae checkups.

Also there are PD cost and anaesthetist cost

I vaguely recall paying a total of 7k cash for my delivery bill (deposit included n gynae fee, epidural n laughing gas). I think my child one was 1k or smth. I gave birth in mt e novena

I'm a foreigner too and delivered at TMC paid only about 6k++(gst) Elective csect as emergency csect more expensive.
