Private hospitals hidden/extra charges not reflected in the maternity packages?

I’m a foreigner, so I’m rather unfamiliar with how maternity care works in SG. I’ve asked some of the private hospitals (TMC/MAH/MNH) for their maternity packages and I noticed that they don’t seem to differ much - maybe ~1K difference but there are things the cheaper ones don’t cover (e.g newborn vaccines & tests). So I’m having a hard time understanding why a lot of people mentioned that MNH is the most expensive of all, when looking at comparisons online, it seems like doctors’ fees are the biggest deciding factor. Are there any additional things not mentioned in the maternity package that I should know?#advicepls  #privatehospital

hi mummy! im a foreigner too and gave birth here last dec at tmc. my obgyn personally recommended MAH and TMC cos it's more affordable and mentioned to shy away from MNH cos is so exp. i actually went to MNH A&E months before giving birth (pregnancy related) and it's actually true lol. costed me $1k. so if budget is a concern, can go to either TMC or MAH.
