How important are vitamins for pregnancy?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and i don't take the obimin vitamin which was prescribed by my gynae as those tablets have side effects of nausea. I just got better from all my morning sickness and got admitted in hospital 2 times due to that in my first trimester. I'm afraid taking the obimin vitamin might trigger back my nausea. Isit okay not taking vitamins through out my pregnancy? Will I face any difficulty in future due to this? #firstbaby #advicepls #pleasehelp #1stimemom #pregnancy #firstpregnancy

If you don't take the vitamins maybe you want to make sure you eat healthily so your baby gets enough nutrients. To me it's too much of a hassle especially getting enough iron from food is a bit hard. Otherwise you can try to buy other type of prenatal vitamins yourself from another brand.

Maybe you can ask your Gynae for other variations of the multi-vit that doesn’t trigger nausea for you. Vitamins are to help supplement vitamins that we don’t intake enough from our food to help baby’s growth.
