If i get a referral from polyclinic to kkh, can i choose a senior midwife or gynae for c sect op during delivery? Will all be charged as privatr rate? Pls advise. Thks

You cannot choose gynae if you are being referred by polyclinic because you enjoy subsidised rate. But you can go through the subsidised route first then book an appointment with your preferred gynae at KKH months ahead and then switch to private so that this gynae can review you for at least 1-2 months and assist you during delivery.

Hi pei jie. Could you explain further on the procedure? Meaning to say that if I were to go by poly to get a referral to kkh, different doc will be assisting me but roughly when im in 6 months due, then I can call up kkh to get my preferred gynae and it will be by private, correct?
