How to gain weight in pregnancy. Purposely eat more or remain unchange ?
Hi All, I understand that we have to gain weight throughout the pregnancy. Do we purposely eat more to gain weight or actually we can just stick to pre pregnancy ? Eat only when we are hungry, no need to snack in between
Actually once you're pregnant, you'll need about an extra 300 calories more. So it's good to eat a bit more than what you used to eat. If you're eating well, with good appetite and all, you'll definitely gain some weight throughout the pregnancy. Don't stress about it though, because it's normal for ladies to lose a bit of weight during the 1st trimester especially those who's struggling with symptoms like bloatedness/nausea/vomitting/heartburn. Usually, it's recommended to take smaller but more frequent meals to help when you're having poor appetite due to pregnancy symptoms.
