hey all! just went for my first appointment w my gynae. im currently going to a specialist at KKH. my first pregnancy i was considered as a private patient and the fees were around $150 per consultant. i went back to the same gynae and she let me know that we'd have to have closer monitoring and i needed to see her and get a scan at AMC every 2 weeks, plus about $100 worth of meds every month! i was so scared that i wouldnt be able to afford the care my baby needed but Alhamdulillah the nurse informed me that im under subsidised care even though im seeing a specialist doctor because of the diagnosis. the total consultation + scan bill is around $85 dollars, so aga-aga the monthly cost comes out to around $300 or so
Hey all! Thought I would update after a few days of morning injections. For context, I've never had prescribed injections before (like insulin etc) and my only experience with injections were vaccines. Tummy injections are painful - the needle not so much, it's the medicine being injected that hurts. The pain lasts throughout the injection - sort of like a bad fire ant bite, and turns into a sort of pinching pain for a few minutes after. I'm really hoping I'll get used to the pain soon, here's to that!
hey all, im at about 15 weeks into pregnancy, Alhamdulillah all has been smooth so far. this is an anxious period for me as my previous missed miscarriage happened around this time... on the bright side, im now very familiar with the early pregnancy assessment unit doctors as I've been in a few times to check on baby
