I am planning to start working for home. I wanted to set my expectations right before I give an interview. Should I expect a pay cut?

Dear Ruhi, when you work from home, employers do perceive you as a less reliable resource as compared to a full time employee sitting at the office. Having said that, it is simply based on how you establish yourself, your credibility and how accountable and sincere you are. Initially you might face discrimination in pay outs as compared to a full time employee. But slowly you can build a base of some regular earning. Keep in mind that your decision to work from home is a win win situationfor both ,yourself and employer. You save on a lot many things like commuting expenses as well as time and employer gets a resource without having to spend on providing office set up to you. To make it big, concentrate on genuine work from home opportunities like the ones listed on QWEEN www.qween.in/work-from-home . build your reputation , gradually increase your scope as well as working hours. Be disciplined and pragmatic in your approach and take your wfh job as seriously as you would a full time out of home job. Truly, sky is the limit :-)
