Group B strep

I jus did my swab test at week 35, and found out I have yeast, candida and group B. Doc gave me antibiotics and insert. And I need to be on antibiotic drip before deliver. Any one has encounter this? Any risk to bb?

i had infection and was resolved during my pregnancy with oral antibiotics. during labour, i was put on antibiotics drip due to fever. baby came out healthy. no complications on baby. just that for myself, there was post delivery fluid retention. so bad that my whole body swell like mad. it all went away after 3 weeks.

I didn’t have it. But when my lo was 2 weeks old. She had vv bad rash, and they suspected that I had strep B undetected that might have passed the rash to her

I had GBS too. Don't worry, the risk to baby will greatly minimize w the oral antibiotics and IV drip (during labour). Baby is perfectly healthy and fine :)

I have infection too and I had antibiotics drip during labour. So far bb 14 mths still okay. Ans I recovered
