I heard that it is not advisable to eat chicken during confinement for those who had csec. This might leads to keloids. Is it true?

Not too sure about chicken but since keloids are filled with capillaries, the type of food consume will affect the keloid in one way or another. They can trigger sensations of itch, pain and inflammation. If you have an existing individual sensitivity to certain foods, this might contribute to the temporary swelling, itch, pain of keloids. As a general rule, foods that promote and stimulate keloid activity like seafood, beef, mutton, alcohol and chillies is recommended to be avoided. It is also said that fruits and vegetables to avoid include: garlic, grapes, durians, pineapples, cranberries and pumpkins. Consume a lot of collagen-rich food and drinks such as soya milk, cheese, red peppers or tomatoes. All of these will promote faster tissue repair or healing in wounds. Cheese and soya milk contain a substance called genistein that aids collagen production; while red peppers and tomatoes contain lycopenes that acts as antioxidants and also help in collagen formation. http://www.ehow.com/how_2364965_prevent-keloids.html
