Pets and baby

Hi. I have a dog and cat. Baby's coming next year. Hope to get some tips from parents who also have pets in the family. 1. Is it OK for newborn baby and pets to stay together in the same house during the first month? If yes, will the baby fall sick easily? 2. How do you introduce your pets to the newborn?
