what position do newborn sleep on

I have been letting my 3 week newborn sleep on his side. then i realise it is not recommended, what do i do? Will anything happen? And what position shud a newborn sleep safely? Back or stomach?

Back . Dont let him sleep on stomach . No need pillow also actually for newborn . No lose swaddle . Keep the cot/bassinet clear of anything .

Baby should sleep on their backs until they know how to flip from tummy to back then they are allowed to sleep on their side.

back is the best. stomach got high risk of suffocation as they do not know how to turn yet

if you let him sleep on his stomach you’ll have to monitor. Best is to sleep on back

Back with no pillow unless your PD says to use pillow for some babies..

back is the best till at least 3mth old
