I have bad gas and indigestion while in my third trimester. Is this normal?

Unfortunately, yes. That's because the digestive system slows down due to the high levels of estrogen and progesterone your body has produced during the early stages of pregnancy. In effect, you experience indigestion as well as gas, bloating and flatulence. To avoid indigestion and gassiness, try these: - eat small, frequent meals, with small snacks in between - don't eat before going to sleep - chew slowly - avoid carbonated drinks - sit up while you're eating (I know being pregnant, you'd just want to lie down, but trust me, sitting up will help as gravity will help bring food and stomach acid down into your stomach.
