First-time Mom - BM or FM

I am a FTM and just gave birth recently. I'm not sure about how long I can sustain in providing BM to my baby. My supply is fairly ok, but I feel quite drained out. Is anyone else in the same shoes as me? Did u change to full FM eventually, and if it's ideal?

Hi mama! There are little long-term differences between breastfeeding and formula feeding found by research when all the other factors like education, demographics etc are taken into consideration and controlled for. I believe the first few days are the most important for supply and for bonding, but afterwards, I say do what's best for your mental health, so that you can be the best parent you can be for your little one. Feeding aside, secure attachment would be the most important thing you want to be able to form with your child for their first three years of life - so just do whatever makes you able to bond properly and able to cherish this time you have with them when they are little! For context, I fed breastmilk for 2 months then fully swapped to formula 👌
