Bump feels smaller at 38 wks?

I feel that my bump feels squishy and looks much smaller in my 38 week as compared to previous weeks when it was tighter. Normally feel this way in the morning when i wake up. Anyone experience this?

Perhaps because the rest you had in the night helps to relax your muscles and thus it is not as tight and strained in the morning resulted in feeling squishy and feels smaller?
