home remedy or natural way to increase breast milk

I delivered a baby girl last week, but am unable to produce enough milk, but I don't want to give her formula just yet? Is there any home remedy or natural way to increase breast milk?

Supply = demand U need to let baby latch on demand or pump every 2-3 hourly until your boobs are soft. Red dates longan tea, coconut oil, salmon sashimi, chia seeds, malt drinks are some common milk boosters that u can try. Importantly u need sufficient rest and fluid.

Keep on latching, Could there be a block duct OR baby's latch isn't correct? See a LC advise to rule out any tongue tie possibilities. Relax and stay happy, being stressed will also affect the supply too. Drink more too.

My milk only kicked in after a week plus with no.1, but I let baby latch on for every feed and he seemed OK. Nipples were super sore though cos each feed lasted 45min. I didn't supplement at all and I don't think it's necc

Agreed with Reine ! some people's milk will come in late. just let her has some formula first. meanwhile drink more water/ red dates tea/ papaya soup and rest well. u can also try fenugreek or lactation cookies.

Just continue to latch, never give up. You can't pump until 6 weeks to avoid over supply. More fluid and soup intake, and try malunggay capsules to boost milk supply. That's what I did before. It really worked.

You can try mother’s love fenugreek supplement and lactation cookies. Also eat more leafy greens and Chinese confinement soup that could increase milk supply (ex: papaya fish soup)

Latch on demand, after latching I pump to stimulate so that can send signal that more milk is required thus increasing the supply.. I also did power pumping for one week

Sorry for the late reply... http://www.pregnancy.com.au/breastfeeding/breastfeeding_information/increasing-breast-milk-supply-power-pumping.shtml

keep latching if you can. newborns have very small stomachs hence they're always hungry. it might not necessarily be you not producing enough. jiayou mummy!

let the baby latch on. Or try to massage your breast. Or u can try some milk booster food or drinks. Worst come to worst ask your partner to help .
