It is best to consult with your doctor on what medication could be taken to help ease your diarrhea. In the meantime, drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Slowly add bland food to your diet (such as banana, toast, oatmeal). Take them in small amount every couple of hours till your symptoms resolves. Get someone to help with attending to your baby while your get the rest needed. You should check with your doctor if it is compatible with breastfeeding. Most medicines are and if not, there is always a breastfeeding friendly alternative medicine. There are very little instances in which you have to stop breastfeeding. If you continue bresatfeeding when you're sick, your body makes antibodies in milk which prevent your baby from getting sick, or if he gets sick, he won't be as sick as you. http://kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/illness-surgery/mom-illness/
