First of all. Congrats on the pregnancy. I’ve had a hard time since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I’m now almost 14 weeks and I’m still suffering from morning sickness, headaches and giddiness. I’ve been told it gets better in the 2nd trimester. But for me, it didn’t. I’m still very lethargic, in fact, I slept till 4:30pm today! It’s super tough. I feel u. Sometimes I don’t know what to eat because everything makes me wanna puke. I just experiment with my food, but usually, anything too spicy, savory, sweet never make it through an hour. I’d say crackers but it’s more of a Torture to have it every single day. Maybe try plain bread. Works for me. I don’t drink plain water - I drink only cold water, juices or coconut water. I know it’s tough. Every day every week 6, I have thoughts of just giving up. I cry and cry while googling on a solution for this. But guess what? There’s no solution. You’ve just gotta ride it out. I can’t tell you it’ll end in your 2nd trimester coz TBH we never know as there’s even a possibility that it goes on throughout your pregnancy. At this point now, I’m just living with it. I’ve given up finding a solution as all the meds the docs prescribed never worked. I pushed on each time seeing my belly grow and my baby’s sonogram. If I can’t find a solution, I find a motivation to push on. If you really can’t even drink. You might need to head to the hospital to get drip. I’ve asked the doc if I needed and she told me even if I could not eat, as long as I can drink, I’m fine. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Good luck, and stay strong!

I also ate biscuits and milo. i also drink protein shake, supplements cuz I am not eating much.

Hugs* try to get all the help you can get. It can wear you down not only physically but mentally too. Giving up has cross my mind every single day. It is a very tough situation to be in. For me I try really hard to push through, it’s still tough and I am only 7 weeks in. Get on medications, push your doctors for it! For nausea, I tried eating small frequent meals, even though I don’t feel like it. Sometimes I will puke, sometimes I gagged. Hunger makes you more nauseous. I cry. I cried so much. Have you tried IV drip to replenish your body? It can help to clear your mind or even feel better a little.

thank you so much for ur advice. I might go to a&e tomorrow if I still can't hold down any drink or food. most likely they would put me on drips. the nausea medicines which doctor gave me to take don't seem to be working at all for me.

for drinks, i tend to go for colder drinks and apparently for me drinking with a straw feels much better than gulping it down. for food, i just opt for those dry food. biscuits or even fries to just give some energy for the body. i observed that the nausea is the worst when my stomach is empty giddiness no choice i just sleep my way through. think the worst for me was like week 8/9. but of course if these has been for days, best to get a doc to adjust back your electrolytes in the hospital

I agree that empty stomach makes me feel worse. so at least try to drink milk or milk.

Just go A&E if you need to. The last time I dragged it out, and ended up being diagnosed with hyperemesis and they warded me for a couple of days. It helped though while I was there. I'm also struggling with nausea again at the moment and taking it day by day.

Hang in there, don't give up! Try to ask for hospitalisation leave if you need the rest from work during this period. You can ask for meds from your gynae to help with your nauseous. Hopefully it will be better when you are in 2nd tri.
