Throwing tantrums
How do you handle your child’s tantrums? Especially when you’re outside.

It's better to allow them to feel what they have to feel. Because their world is so small and they have little knowledge yet so simple things really stressed them out. But usually, they take time to calm down and talk it out on how they can feel better afterwards, or what we can do for them to not feel this way. It's more letting them communicate with us about their feelings so they can navigate it as well.

I allow him some time to throw his tantrum so that he learns to regulate his emotions. After he has calmed down, then I’ll have a chat with him about what happened. So far I haven’t had to go through lengthy tantrums especially when outside.
