Infant care vs hiring a domestic helper

Hi all, how did you decide between enrolling baby into infant care vs hiring a helper to care for baby after the maternity & paternity leave ends? I’m leaning towards infant care as it’s specialized care for baby and it will provide stimulation to the baby while my husband prefers hiring a helper since it will be 1-1 care plus helper can help with chores. We can rotate our wfh to ensure that at least one of us will be home with the helper but I still feel that we will be distracted by work and the helper’s care for baby will just be basic care…the longer husband and I discuss this, the slower we are in getting a space for our baby in the ideal infant care near our home…

i think hiring helper might be better..from my experience at ifc, baby wil sick often..my kid always sick when he was at ifc..hence at age 4mths to 18mths should build their immunity..some helpers wil helpful too they know how to play with them will be more than enough at this age.

I hired a helper instead of ifc because of the convenience and the help that we may need with household chores. IFC u need to send and pick up at a certain timing but helper, no need to worry about this (my main concern).

I cant be bothered with helper its like another person to keep track of. Nowadays a good helper depends on luck. Infant care or not, kids do get sick. Just think positive.

Was in the same dilemma but went with IFC because I don’t trust having a helper (luck based on whether you hired a good one) and didn’t like the privacy issue either.
