How do you calm your kids down when they have a bad nightmare in middle of the night?

I embrace my child tight for a few minutes then I'd bring her to a different part of house to change his mood. I also tap him on his back to give him assurance that I'm there for him.

For both of my children, I will switch on the light and reassure them, then accompany them to sleep . Don't know it will be effective for other children.

To me I feel that you being there beside your kids means everything to them. Assure them that everything is ok and that you are always here for them.

Hold them and speak calmly to them to let them know they have nothing to worry about because God is there to protect them.

I suggest singing there favorite lullaby while hugging them and telling them you re right beside them.

We still have this issue with our daughter Normally we sing or play the music which likes And give some water

Hug them and make rest on your chest. This make them feel more secure and comfortable. I

A nice warm glass of milk always helps! and to let them sleep in your bed :)

I keep hugging or hug plus carry if kid still small, until the crying stops

Hug the baby tightly and call her/his name.. the baby will stop crying
