Hi all Chinese mummies, I have read a Feng Shui article on Facebook that our child's name cannot include certain characters. Anyone have approached a Feng Shui master as yet? Kindly share your experience! Thanks! ❣

Yes. Some chinese believe that chinese name will affect the luck and fortune of the baby. For my baby, after he was born we passed the birth date and time of baby and let the Master calculate. He suggested a few name characters for us to choose from. The Feng Sui Master my FIL used was not from Singapore. There are several Feng Sui Master in Singapore has this service: http://www.fengshuimaster-singapore.com/baby-naming-with-bazi-analysis-singapore.html http://www.lisfengshui.com/__services/services.htm http://www.leeyuhon.com/nameanalysis

Yes. my feng shui master mentioned that baby's name should not have characters that are similar to names of their father, mother and grandparents. For example if my husband's name contains 文, baby has to avoid having this character in his name. It is explained that similar character will 相冲 meaning it will bring bad luck to each other.
