COVID - 19 Vaccines for teenagers

We have all been praying for the pandemic to end and I know that vaccinations have played a very important role in doing so. 💉 As a pediatrician and a mom, I was so happy when I found out that children ages 5 years old and above are eligible to get the COVID -19 Vaccination. 💉 In the Philippines, children aged 12-17 years old are already included in the COVID - 19 vaccination program.💉 Some parents have or may ask WHY is it being recommended for children and teens? According to CDC: ✅ Vaccinating children can help protect family members, including siblings who are not eligible for vaccination and family members who may be at increased risk of getting very sick if they are infected. ✅Vaccination can also help keep children from getting seriously sick even if they do get COVID-19. ✅ Vaccinating children ages 5 years and older can help keep them in school and help them safely participate in sports, playdates, and other group activities. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/children-teens.html Join us on our Facebook group and get factual and reliable information on vaccinations. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bakunanay #TeamBakuNanay #ProudtobeABakuNanay #AllAboutBakuna #HealthierPhilippines #VaccinesWorkForAll  #thepediakikaymom
