Has anyone send their kid on a flight as an unaccompanied minor? What airline did you use?

When I was 14, I moved to Australia to pursue higher education. Qantas ensured that unaccompanied minors were escorted through the airport and baggage security with an airline rep, and has seating arrangements specifically for unaccompanied minors on the plane. Upon landing, minors were escorted from the plane up to the arrivals gate. If I got stopped for a random bomb check in the airport (when I was below the age of 17), if I was alone, a Qantas rep had to be present when they patted me down as well.
