Gestational Diabetes and Oral Glucose Tolerance Test is it compulsory need to do?

Best to do it for extra precaution so both you and baby can get the attention needed if confirm to have GD cos it is very risky if one have it and does not control the sugar intake. I'm 36 and had my 1st OGTT. Never had it done before with my other pregnancies. I'm GD free. Anyway, it's just a drink and withdraw of blood. That's all.

Nope it is compulsory. at age 35, i have my 3rd pregnancy i ask my gynac why he nv ask me to do the diabetes test. he say is not compulsory when i dont have family history of diabetes and weight gain for both myself n my fetus is within the healthy range.
