I’m confused about fluoride toothpaste for young kids... some say it’s ok to use, some say wait when they’re older? What’s the safest option or how to go about it?
For young children, use a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste (about the size of a grain of rice) for under 3 years, and a pea-sized amount from age 3–6. Supervise brushing to make sure they don’t swallow too much. Fluoride helps prevent cavities safely in the right amount.
