Its a grey area...most times I am friend...open to any discussion, no judgement...sometimes I am mum...fair warning if my boys are getting out of line

Yes, I am mostly their friend but when it comes to some tough decisions, I take my stance of being a mum and talk firmly

Would like her to be like a Friend but not exactly friends with her. There’s still a line to be drawn.

I want to be her Best Friend, such that she can tell me anything and I’ll be there for her

Yes I do and with all friendships it would come with a sense of respect and honor.

You can be friends with your child but you are first and foremost his parent

Not all the time. As much as I want to be buddies with my kids, it's tough.

Yes so that he/she will confide in me. However, there should be respect

it can be a balance of both. a freind as well as a parent who cares

yes however i don't want to seem like a pushover as a parent
