2 week old baby milk intake

Hi, first time mum here. Do we have the follow strictly the milk intake formula of 150ml times baby’s weight divide by 8 feeds/day? My baby is drinking more than what the formula indicates, 80mls every 3 hourly. Am I over feeding her? #firstbaby

No. Every numbers are just a guideline. Adjust based on baby’s intake. Some may drink more, some may drink less. Eg my friend’s baby drinks 200-260ml while mine only drinks 80ml at 2 weeks old. Overfeeding usual signs are frequent spit ups (more than usual burp kind) or vomiting. Underfeeding - not producing enough wet diapers and colour of pee (dark).
