Week 5 Day 4, gestation sac without yolk sac?

Hi! This is my first pregnancy, we’ve been trying for 2 years. Just had my scan today at 5 weeks 4 days and my doctor cant seem to find baby nor yolk sac. She could only see the gestational sac. Will be coming back again in 2 weeks for another scan but I am very worried that this pregnancy won’t be viable. Is this normal? #pleasehelp #PCOS

it is normal! at first i didnt wanna put too much hopes but ofcourse i want to see progress so i think and surround myself with positivity. had my first scan at 5w5d and it was only a “poppy seed” & even the doc said it might not be a good pregnancy. but i stayed positive till the good news 2 weeks later. thank god 😍😍😍

Yes 5 weeks is way too early to see anything. Normally it’s week 7-8 then can detect heartbeat, hence a lot of gynaes don’t recommend first scan earlier than this, it creates unnecessary worries.

dont think so much. maybe by next visit can see and hear heartbeat. think positive
