Appointment
My first appointment cost about $400. The supplements and blood test already subsidised but so quite expensive for me. I can only claim medisave after delivery right? Does anyone know if subsequent appointment is going to be that expensive too? Is there frequent blood test?
I understand that your first appointment was quite expensive, even with the subsidies for supplements and blood tests. It can definitely be overwhelming to handle the costs, especially during pregnancy. Regarding your question about claiming Medisave, yes, you are correct that you can only claim it after delivery. As for subsequent appointments, the expenses may vary depending on various factors such as the type of tests or consultations required. It's best to check with your healthcare provider or hospital to get a clearer idea of the costs involved in your specific situation. They will be able to provide you with a breakdown of the fees and any available subsidies or insurance coverage. In terms of frequent blood tests, again, it can vary depending on your individual circumstances and any specific medical needs. Generally, routine prenatal care involves regular check-ups and tests to monitor the health of both you and your baby. However, the frequency of blood tests can vary from person to person and may not be required at every appointment. To better manage your healthcare costs, you can also consider exploring government schemes or assistance programs that may be available to you. This can help alleviate some financial burden during your pregnancy journey. Remember, it's important to prioritize your health and the well-being of your baby. If you have any concerns about the expenses, don't hesitate to discuss them with your healthcare provider. They may be able to provide alternative options or suggest resources that can help make your appointments more affordable. Take care and best of luck with your pregnancy journey! https://invl.io/cll6she
Read moreIf you go the private route consultations sometimes cost $100-$200. Then plus the meds and gst, I usually put aside $200-$300. Blood tests won't be done on all appts, at least not for me. I prob only went once. Yes, can claim medisave after delivery. Private route is expensive but the other cheaper option is via subsidised route in govt hospitals
Read moreI’m under SGH subsidies route and headed for 5th appointment. Blood test was ard this price even w subsidy excluding consultation, urine test, ultrasound fee. Other than blood test, there’s also detailed ultrasound ard week 20 onwards. Unfortunately, recently went to check that SGH does not have package for prenatal consultation.
Read moreNo I don’t think subsequent appointments will be that pricey at all, blood test sometimes can be expensive that’s why. Yes only claim medisave after delivery
$400 is cheap I think! I go for private and it's around $500/visit. Let's not scrimp and save on our baby
