usually no. at the gynae, mostly they use ultrasound to visualise the heartbeat because too early for fetal doppler. mine had trouble hearing the heart beat till I was around 16 weeks onwards.

nope can't detect. my gynea say is not advisable to keep using it, due to the "sound wave" use to detect the heart beat
