Can drink pi pa Gao?

Can we drink pi pa gao if having cough and sore throat? Went to see GP was given med but I need something stronger to help me get rid of the phlegm. #14weekspregnant

I had a cough during my first trimester too and was told cannot take pi pa gao. Went to the GP twice for the cough and it didn't get any better. In the end it recovered on it's own after 2 months. Took manuka honey everyday.

not suitable for pregnant ladies. i love pi pa gao too but had to refrain from it all the way. try honey instead.
