Dr. Federick Cheng and Dr. Geraldine Zamora (@ging.md) discussed on how to care for the elderly especially this pandemic
this is applicable to all ages.
Here are my takes on last week's webinar
Prevention is better than cure.
Online consultation is the new normal.
There are several reasons why the elderly are somewhat
more vulnerable - they have more chronic conditions
than younger people, their aging immune system makes
it harder to fight off diseases, infections and viruses.
Recoveries are usually slower and more complicated.
Hypertension is a silent killer
because many it can be symptom free. Many people that have it
don't know they do.

.
Symptoms are based on each individual and can include headaches and nosebleeds.
Here are effective remedies at home that can lower Blood Pressure
☑ Walk and exercise regularly.
☑ Reduce your sodium intake.
☑ Less alcohol.
☑ Cut back on caffeine.
☑ Learn to manage stress.
Most important of all:
Inform them that if they develop
symptoms such as fever with cough, fever and / or shortness of breath, to call their family doctor, helpline or nearest hospital.
Looking forward for the next webinar and that is something to watch out for.
