Jerking In New Born

Does ur newborn jerk unknowingly? My first child wasn't jerking as much, it only last for first 2 weeks. My 2nd child now at 7 weeks still jerk a few times when sleeping. Is it normal?

Yes, it’s normal. It’s startle reflex. Mine stopped after 4 months.
