I use Pureen too but the blue bottle instead. I don't see a need to use fabric conditioner for my son's clothes since his skin is still so young; wouldn't want to pile on the chemicals on his clothes for no reason. So far, I haven't had any problems using Pureen and I got them during 2015 April baby fair. We got a carton of 6, and until today I still have about 2 to go. I don't exactly remember the price but pretty sure it was worth it otherwise we wouldn't have lugged it back home on taxi hahaha

One of my friends here (she's really into organic living) makes her own softener especially for her baby's clothes. I can't remember her exact recipe, but I know she uses vinegar and baking soda as ingredients, as well as essential oils of choice. If you are interested, I found a website with recipes of home made softeners, they are along the same lines as my friend's recipe I think: http://www.growingupherbal.com/how-to-make-natural-fabric-softener-for-your-laundry/

I am using this Pureen detergent that comes with softener. The smell is very nice. I do not put a lot of detergent when washing baby clothes.
