Do you babies get gassy when their tummies have been exposed to aircon or electricfan?

My mom and mom-in-law always gets mad at me whenever I let my baby's shirt up and tell me that she'll get gassy and will be difficult to put to sleep due to tummy ache. I've read an article online and I found out that it is excessive crying which causes babies to gulp air into air digestive system. Somehow, too much exposure to fans or aircon can cause a gassy tummy. So safe to say, avoid to much air exposure for babies.
