Worried mum on NT scan

Just did my Oscar scan at 12 wks and my baby's nuchal translucency (NT) reading is at 4.7mm. Doc say that there is a 50% chance of chromosomal abnormalities and/or heart defect. Have any mummy experience this? What is your gynae's advice on the next course of action? Appreciate your help!
