Feeling discriminated due to Vaccination status

Dear fellow pregnant mummies, did u take your covid vaccinations? I decided to wait until delivery as I'm near my last trimester but feel sad not able to dine out due to the new measures. Anyone else feeling the same too?

actually i feel taking the vaccine is not just about being able to go out - is also that you may be able to hole yourself up but end of the day you don’t live in isolation so other ppl can bring virus to you. i also thought really long and hard about this as i’m only midway through my pregnancy now and decided to take it, since being seriously sick from covid will affect my baby (and this is known fact)

Dont feel that way! We are all here not alone. I have few weeks to go before end sept. Not been vaccjnated too. My gynae is pressing me to take when my heart say aft birth then take . But it feel rather weird that if i take the vaccine for my 3rd pragnancy. while my first 2 are not. No guarantees what will happen in future as this is first to first case scenario. Just stay safe & everyhing will be ok

I have read somewhere. There is 2 mummy in Malaysia is having last trimester. Unfortunately they get positive. End up immediately c-section to save the baby. After c-section the mummy send to ICU. Baby was still under observation. Both mummy end up don’t have chance to see or carry their baby and passed away. I just want to share only. As happen I see one post from another mummy.

Hello mama! :) I have not been vaccinated too. I actually don't feel safe to be out so much. We only do our grocery shopping at supermarkets on weekends before 11am. We cut down on social gatherings too. It might be safer for us who are unvaccinated and more susceptible viruses to stay home more ♥️ take care and wishing you a smooth third trim ahead!

Felt the same way as you too. Especially when the news of pregnant mom was encouraged to take the vaccine but we were almost coming to an end of pregnancy. Thought there are chances to eat the food we crave for before giving birth & confinement but bubble burst cause of the new measures.

Like it or not, govt is pushing to get everyone vaccinated. If gynae gives green light for the vaccine, why wait? Lay out the pros and cons, pretty sure pros outweigh the cons. Being able to dine out should be the last thing in mind. Preg mums’ safety and baby’s are the priority.

Totally feel you. I’m in my week 25 only. Long way to go. But decided to wait to get the vaccine after the baby is out. In the meantime, let’s just stay home and minimize the chance of getting the virus, for our baby’s sake. Cheer up all unvaccinated mummies!

Hello fellow mama 😊 I felt likewise too, I’m 18w1d…However after lots of talking & support from my husband, family & close friends, I’ve decided to take my first jab next month once I reach 20 weeks (recommended by Gynae to take covid vaccine then)

If I’m you, heavily pregnant at 3rd trimester, dining out will be the last thing on my mind. Why risk it when you are at the last lap of pregnancy and going to give birth soon? In fact, I don’t even want to go out necessarily , let alone dine out
