There are lots of factors and depends on how advanced your pregnancy is. The more advanced the pregnancy is, the higher the position where the baby occupies in the mother's tummy, the higher the chances of a fall or blow harming the baby. For example, if you had a fall or blow on your upper tummy during your third trimester and the baby is right at your pelvis, it won't affect your baby. It also depends on how much protection you have, the clothes you wear, the layers of abdominal tissue you have and how much force that lands on your tummy. The baby also has a layer of protection (the amniotic fluid). If in doubt, please see your doctor to check your baby's heartbeat.
