Pfizer covid vaccine for breastfeeding mum

Any breastfeeding mum had gone for Pfizer vaccine and still continue to breastfeed after the jab... the govt said there is no issue to continue bfeeding even after vaccine, but I'm a bit concerned as there was a baby died in Taiwan after the mum breastfeed after the AZ vaccine...

I got the jab on 24 June and still continue to bf… gynae and PD said ok to do so… no need to pump and discard the milk. Just that arm is sore for 1 day and would need someone to carry baby to u for bf in the middle of the night… also took Panadol for headache… also I’m happy to know that baby will also get the antibodies from me..

ok , my baby is 2 weeks old so not sure if i should take vaccine or not .

Super Mum

I haven't had the vaccine yet but once I do I would still breastfeed my baby so the immunity can be transferred to baby too. I haven't heard of the Taiwan case but it seems to be a very unlikely scenario.

I continued breastfeeding after taking my doses because I wanted my baby to get the antibodies. it's your personal preference :)
