Unmarried Permanent resident parents, birth certificate situation?

Both my partner and I are unmarried. Therefore the hospital informed us that we cannot register our baby in the hospital. This has to be done at the ICA. What happens to our baby's name on the birth certificate??? #pleasehelp #firstbaby #advicepls
