BCG Vaccine and Scarring

BCG vaccine protects our babies from Tuberculosis, but have you ever wondered why there is scarring 2-4 weeks after vaccination? So for new moms, yes developing a pustule on the skin is normal kaya wag tayong matakot. It will go away soon. Also to debunk the myth, non-scarring on the site does not mean that the vaccine did not take effect. In the case of my 2 kids, my eldest did not form a scar but my youngest did. So no need to worry if scarring did not occur because again, it’s perfectly normal and no need to repeat the vaccine just because there’s no scar. #BCG #BCGVaccine #bcgscarring #TeamBakunaNanay #VaccinesWorkforAll

I don't like my baby to have any scars after getting a vaccine shot but still it's part of the process. Thanks for sharing mommy! #TeamBakuNanay
