Hi. My baby is 3 days old. And my BM is not enough. My nipples are also cracked alr so pain whenever she latch. Is formula milk okay for the mean time while I’m still trying to heal my breast? How much milk should i feed her every 3 hrs? Tia.
Ok to supplement with formula at the mean time. Try starting with 15-30ml for day 3 baby. Doesnt hv to be 3hourly, just follow baby's cue. Baby can be hungry before it hits 3 hours.
You can also use this formula as a guide:
150ml x body weight (kg) / number of feeds per day
