Is baby being exclusively breastfed? A little bit of blood in stool can be quite normal. It may be because of decrease of milk supply. We don’t know why it happens, but it does. The solution is to figure out how to increase breast milk supply. You will realise about decrease in breastmilk supply if baby seems to be fussy at the breast (or refuse the breast in the day) We also don’t know why decreases in breast milk supply is correlated to blood in the stool but one theory is that the milk may be Low in fat because as soon as the milk flow slows down the babies will pull off the breast and then the milk empties from the stomach very very quickly, but not just the milk, the enzymes, the hydrochloric acids which is not supposed to be in the small intestines, and that irritates the babies gut and then the baby starts to have blood in the stool. You can tell if baby is hungry if they often suck their fingers/have the fingers in the mouth or when you offer them a breast after feeding from one side they also take the other breast.

Please go see a doctor since there is blood. Better to be careful
