How much to feed newborn

My 9 day old baby drinks 90ml of breast milk per 2.5-3hrs and the doc said newborns that age usually drink 60ml. My MIL keeps secretly increasing to 100ml and idk if it’s ok. Anybody help!!

At 9 days the stomach isn’t so big. If we forcefeed so much, baby will likely regurgitate/vomit the milk out. If it comes out from the mouth, that’s not so bad, but there is still a chance then when the baby vomits, the milk will go into the lungs instead and cause pneumonia.

Hm, even so, really shouldn’t give so much.

oh no, its not ok! i think its too much... u r lucky if she nvr vomit like merlion😂 when my bb 9days old only drink 60-70ml every 2.5-3hrs

When my girl first weeks birth I gave 60ish ml .. when's shes at 3weeks old than drink about 90ml. Tell them they are both over feeding.

My confinement nanny also fed my baby 90ml (from day 3 to day 14), sometimes up to 100ml. Dr said overfeeding.

90ml is already too much for a 9do. Oreover, Over feeding may cause colic and vomiting.
