In this current situation, will husband able to be there during detailed scan? My appt is next week @ KKH

Really depends on the person who do the scanning. I'm currently week 32 and so far only had one instance where hubby wasn't allowed. The sonographer was an Indian and to me it seems like everyone in there had a fight. They all were giving such negative vibes. It was my first scan where I could clearly see the baby in more human form. Until then no face n other organs were formed. Being first time parents my husband and I were super excited. And the excitement was killed by the staff there. My husband was allowed in for all scans until then so naturally I was expecting him that time too. So I asked the lady if my husband could come in. She vented all her frustration on me saying it's not allowed, and if she allows others may complaint that she let her race people in, she already had similar experience in the past and she don't want to repeat. I was stunned and felt like crying. All she could say was sorry mommy I can't allow now. The way she reacted was as if I cause her some harm. I apologized to her and told her it's our first time so I didn't want my husband to miss it. She then allowed him to come in after a while as if doing us some favour. When I told my husband he too said the situation outside was also intense. Every staff was taunting each other. I will never forget that lady 😆 But that aside rest all my scans were really good. Hubby could join me in too 😊

Should be can. I gave birth in mid Oct 2020 and previously my scans were still in Phase 1/2. For me, there was 1 time when they didn’t allow my husband in. After that he was allowed to come in the last 5 mins after they took the measurements. Then towards the later scans he could stay with me during the whole scanning process. I think now Phase 3 should be ok I guess. Well hopefully you don’t encounter such incident like Ann’s. That would be really disappointing. But just to be safe, don’t keep your hopes high for then to allow husband in. Good luck and all the best!

Mine was the 2nd trimester scan and was at kkh last Monday. The sonographer didn't allow my hubby in. And he was so upset cause he took leave just to see baby. So I asked the sonographer if he can come in cause he specifically took leave to see baby. She eventually let him in to see gender.

Did mine during phase 2, first part of the scan hubs must stay outside. After measurements and checking of all body parts the was ask to call my husband in and she showed my husband all the body parts and gender. I think it’s more of detailed scan Tingy. Not which phase

Hihi i did mine recently at kkh. They will only allow you to go in first for scanning. After they are done with the measurements needed, they will then allow your hubby in and do a simple scan to look at the baby.

I went for my 9 weeks scan about 2-3 weeks back in KKH and my partner was able to come into the room together with me to view the scan.

My hubby could go in towards the end . For about 80% of the scan he wasn’t allowed in

Yes but he cannot go in to see when you do the scan. He has to wait outside.

Currently 37w and with NUH, husband was allowed for all checkups
