Pregnancy

Sake is not suitable for pregnant women as it is a type of alcohol. It can cause severe damage to the baby’s central nervous system and lead to several debilitating health issues for both the mother and the child.

Postpartum

Avoid drinking sake - a type of alcohol - during your postpartum period. It has not benefits to your health or recovery at this stage.

Breastfeeding

You should avoid drinking sake while breastfeeding if possible. If you do consume it, wait for 2 hours before nursing your baby or you may pump and dump.

Baby

Sake is unsafe for babies under the age of 11 months, or of any age.
