Pregnancy

If you're craving a Milo during pregnancy, don't worry. You can drink Milo, hot or cold; just try to limit the number of Milos you have. And don't add sugar to your Milo! If you need to watch the calories, try replacing it with cacao powder and a small amount of honey or coconut sugar.

Postpartum

There is no harm in drinking milo for new moms, but you will need to do so in moderation. If you notice the consistency of your baby’s stool has changed or find that he has gas problems, you will need to curb your intake until you have weaned your little one.

Breastfeeding

Milo is a popular recommendation in breastfeeding groups because of the malt content. However, chocolate is considered a stimulant. As such, drink in moderation and don't overdo it. You can consider other malt-based drinks like ovaltine.

Baby

Milo is not suitable for infants and very young toddlers (i.e. less than two years). Toddlers from one year of age can have plain full cream milk as a drink.
